Dr. Jerry Chery was born in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He graduated from the University of South Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science. Dr. Chery completed his professional dental training at Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, TN. During his dental school matriculation, Dr. Chery became a National Health Service Corp (NHSC) scholar committing to serving the underserved.
Prior to entering the pediatric dental residency program at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami, FL, Dr. Chery worked as a general dentist at a Federally Qualified Healthcare Center (FQHC) in Florida’s Gulf Coast. He later served as the dental director, overseeing two bustling offices, as well as a school-based mobile sealant program.
Dr. Chery’s professional goal is to live and work for the community by crafting the beauty of smiles. He thrives to be known as someone who cares, going above and beyond by helping to rebuild confidence in the children that he serves.
Dr. Chery speaks English, French and Haitian Creole. Professional affiliations include however not limited to American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, College of Diplomates of the ABPD, The Academy of General Dentistry, Florida Dental Association, West Coast District Dental Association, Florida Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Sarasota County Dental Society, Silver King Study Club – Affiliate of Seattle Study Club, Tampa Bay Area Dental Association.
